Writing, composing and arranging for bigbands is for Bora Rokovic the ideal occuoation. Born 1925 in Yugoslavia. And although his music studies in Belgrade forced him to follow a classical route, jazz was in fact the be-all and end-all for him. he came to Germany in 1954, where Kurt Edelhagen engaged him as arranger in 1957. The LP "Ultra Marine", recorded in 1971 in Villingen / MPS Studio, with Peter Trunk on Bass and Tony Inzalaco on drums, became a collectors item. On "J.B.W.", a true masterpiece of abstract jazz, the trio suceeds over 7 minutes in permanently ratcheting up the tension.
