Artist:

Mummi Kutoo Mummi Kutoo
"Mummi kutoo" is Finnish for "Grandma's knitting". First released in 1975 by the immortal Finnish Love Records (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Records ), Mummi Kutoo's self-titled debut is much more than hip psychedelic-folk rock: the album's soft dreamscape exhibits a thorough understanding of melodic orchestral pop, fragile coffeehouse jazz, dixieland, cabaree music and light AM country. Their style is a warm and charming, harmonious and nicely arranged obscure, avant-folkpop and sing-alongs, which are all taken to a deliberate hippie oddballity and a rather weird happy feeling.
